The NextGen Research Program is an interactive initiative designed for young researchers in pediatrics, offering a unique opportunity to enhance skills and connect with experts in the field. The program consists of three distinct modules, with the first two taking place during the NextGen Research Day on May 21, 2025, in Bern.
Participants of the NextGen Research Day can choose between two modules. Module I: Project Development is perfect for those just starting their research journey or those with a fictional research idea. This module includes two interactive workshops on research methodology and presentation skills, followed by a «Scientific Speed Dating» session where participants present their projects to experts and receive structured feedback. Module II: Project Leadership, on the other hand, is tailored for researchers who have already initiated a project and are looking for guidance on advancing it. This module offers an in-depth workshop led by a leading expert, as well as a «Scientific Escape Room» session, where participants collaborate to solve scientific puzzles, navigate research challenges and receive valuable feebacks.
The third module, Module III: Research Presentation, takes place during the SPG conference on May 22-23, 2025, in Bern. This optional module invites participants to present their research in innovative formats, including the NextGen Instagram Session and NextGen Research Podcast Session. Participants are encouraged to submit abstracts to showcase their research (only completed research may be presented; planned projects are not eligible), with the best presentation earning a 3000 CHF prize.
